Kathmandu, Mar. 29: The Kathmadu Upatayaka Khanaepani Limited (KUKL) has given continuity to water supplying and water quality testing processes even during the nationwide lockdown.
On the third day of lockdown on Thursday, under the leadership of Milan Shakya, executive chief of KUKL, a team visited its Mahankalchaur branch and Bansbari branch and acquired information about the water supply process and quality of the water being supplied to the denizens.
The team also tested quality of the water tanks in both the branches. The results of tests in both water branches were satisfactory, Shakya said.
To minimise the shortage of water in lockdown period, the KUKL has also been supplying water by its tankers to the hospitals with utmost priority, said Shakya.
He said, “We are providing service to general public. The denizens will not face a shortage of water. Water supply process will continue regularly.”
Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Management Board has operated the android App KVTIS to provide water facility to general public in the difficult situation.
Water facility is essential to keep people safe from the coronavirus. The board has managed the facility of water supply from private water suppliers in the Kathmandu Valley.
