By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 8: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Sunday confirmed 1,533 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
“In 12,311 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,533 persons were found with the SARS-CoV-2 infection in the valley itself,” informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the MoHP in the press briefing.
Of the 1,533 new cases, 1,294 were detected in Kathmandu, 77 were recorded in Bhaktapur and 162 were confirmed in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 2817 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Sunday, taking the national tally to 194,453 including 157,926 recoveries and 1,108 fatalities.
