Khalanga, Feb. 23: The upgradation job of Nagma-Gamgadhi road section of Karnali Highway has been affected for lack of sufficient budget to advance the construction task.
The task was affected as Rs 97 million budget released by the federal government for the current fiscal year was completed in the first three months.
With the completion of the budget, the federal government again sent Rs 50 million but that amount too has finished.
Chief of Road Division Office, Jumla, Leela Bhandari said that the construction work is not taking place as per the estimate. The job of gravel and drain construction are incomplete and payment of Rs 120 million for the contractor is delayed due to insufficient budget.
In the current fiscal year, gravel work of 34 kms road along the Gamgadhi-Nagma is completed and the gravel work of 59 kms is yet to carry out.
