Kathmandu, Nov. 17: Prime Minister KP Sharma said on Sunday that no one would be allowed to encroach an inch of the country’s land.

Inaugurating a meeting of National Youth Association Nepal in the capital today, the Prime Minister said that the government was capable of protecting the county’s territory.

A message of national unity has been spread by the agreement among all stakeholders for the protection of the country’s border, the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Oli thanked general people for providing strong support to the government for taking initiation in returning country’ encroached territory.

“Some are highlighting the encroachment of the country’s land as current incident though it was the case of decades ago. The national government would not allow encroaching even an inch of the country’s land. The government wants India to take back its army from the Nepali territory,” the Prime Minister said.

“Nepal, which has the image of a peaceful country across the globe, will not make encroachment of land of any country and would not allow others to encroach its land,” he said.

Some have suggested the government to make correction on the map published by the government, he said adding that returning of encroached land was more important than correcting the map.

“We want to take back the encroached land before correcting the map,” the PM said.

Prime Minister said that demonstration of undisciplined activities in the name of nationalism by the forces who were silent in the past regarding the encroachment of the country’s territory was wrong.

“The government has received strong support for the nationality and territorial integrity for which I am grateful to all but, demonstration of undisciplined activities to show extra nationalistic fervour is not good,” he said.

The government would resolve the problem through diplomatic process, he added

Though the government had to spend much of its time to end transition and establish legal bases, it has also been able to create a new foundation for the economic development of the country, the Prime Minister said.

“We have been able to achieve the economic growth of 7.1 per cent, reduce import and trade deficit. We are moving in rapid pace for the development of infrastructure and to increase production,” the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister said that people had criticised the government only due to ideological prejudices and due to failure of not getting any personal benefit from the government.

Most of the criticism against the government are baseless. Only the fact based criticism will help improve weakness, he said.

Highlighting the characteristics of socialism and capitalism, Prime Minister Oli directed members of youth association to bring positivity in thinking and creativity on works.
