By Tara Chapagain, Kaski, June 18: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Krishna Chanda Nepali Pokharel is set to take the floor test at 11:00 am in the provincial assembly today.
Currently, there are 59 provincial assembly members in Gandaki. CM Pokharel needs 30 votes in his favor to win the confidence. Currently, he is backed by 31 members.
Pokharel is obtaining confidence in the provincial assembly as per Article 168 (5) of the Constitution.
Meanwhile, the Gandaki Province government has already passed the Policy and Programme for Fiscal Year 2021/22 prior to the floor test.
