Nawalparasi, Dec. 15
A central committee meeting and organisational gathering of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) began in Eastern Nawalaparasi on Sunday.
The meeting was hosted by FNJ’s eastern branch, Nawalparasi. According to eastern branch chairman of FNJ Hom Raj Ranabhat, the meeting will have the presence of more than 60 participants from across the country.
FNJ central chairman, former chairmen of FNJ, officials, members of the organisation committee, State chairmen from the seven States, branch chairmen from the Kathmandu Valley, Academy and Associate, central chairman of Nepal Press Union Badri Sigdel and Press Organisation chairman Maheshwore Dahal are attending the meeting.
According to Ranabhat, the meeting will mainly discuss security of journalists, their minimum wages, and filtration of the members of FNJ, new membership, and strategy to be taken for future prospect of journalism.
