Federalism study centre to be set up: Minister Pandit

Lalitpur, Sept 28: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit has said the a federalism study center will be set up at Namobuddha municipality in Kavre to enhance the capacity of higher-ranking people and civil servants.
In his address to the 37th anniversary of the Nepal Administrative Staff College and employees' reunion ceremony today, he said the study centre would help make the function of representatives of political parties in three tiers of the government and civil service employees effective. "The people from the countries adopting federalism across the globe could grab the opportunity to carry out research and study in the centre", he said.
He also shared the government was decentralizing the local development training academy to the state levels. "We would hand over the buildings of all seven states within two months as part of its preparation".
The minister also informed that the Public Service Commission would announce vacancy for 9,162 employees for local levels by the end of the Dashain which falls on October 8. He also highlighted the need of training to every Nepali people to make the country further organized.
Executive Director of the Academy Punya Prasad Neupane said the to-be-established training centre would work to develop capacity of high-placed people and provide consultancy service for the implementation of federalism.
