EGBOSA's medical camp in Marpha

Kathmandu, Sept. 15: Ex Gandaki Boarding Students’ Association, Kathmandu (EGBOSA-Kathmandu) in collaboration with EGBOSA North America conducted a free medical camp in Marpha of Mustang district on Saturday.
More than one thousand people were directly benefited by the mega medical camp. The camp covered the people from both upper and lower Mustang.
Member of Parliament Prem Prasad Tulachan formally inaugurated the programme. Similarly, member of provincial parliament Mahendra Thakali, deputy Chief District Officer, heads of security agencies, members from local government, social workers attended the programme.
The medical camp was held from 7:00 am till 7 pm.
"We provided internal medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, ENT, skin, dental, orthopedics, pediatrics and general surgery services in the camp," said Dr Sujita Hirachan, President of EGBOSA.
She said that more than one a thousand people benefited from the camp.
"Almost all the services were provided free of cost in the camp. The services include urine and blood test for all, Ultrasound, Pulmonary Function Test and free medicines," she added.
She said that it was very encouraging to find young doctors, medical professionals and volunteers to take time from their busy schedule to serve the Nobel cause of prosperous Nepal and happy (and healthy) Nepali.
More than 50 health professional and EGBOSA members had reached Marpha for the camp on Friday.
EGBOSA, a non-profit organization with the alumni of Ex-Gandaki Boarding School, Pokhara has been doing many charity works including scholarship programmes in different parts of Nepal.
