Kathmandu, Jan. 14: Parmeshwar Prasad Devkota has been appointed the Managing Editor of The Rising Nepal.
Devkota, who had been handling the responsibilities of the Deputy Executive Editor of the English language daily, was appointed to the position by the Gorkhapatra Corporation management on Wednesday. He will begin work in his new capacity from today.
Devkota has been active in journalism since 1988 and joined The Rising Nepal in 1994 as a Sub-editor.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Master’s Degree in Rural Development. He has visited India and China on occasions and has received a journalism training from China.
