Kathmandu, June 12: CPN (UML) has said that a life threat issued against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli by a member of the Bagmati Province Assembly is of serious concern.

Issuing a press statement today, party spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Gyawali said Nepali Congress (NC) member Narottam Baidya publicly saying that he would abet others for assassinating the Prime Minister and was himself ready to do that if necessary was highly offensive and condemnable.

In Friday’s session of the Province Assembly, Baidya said that he was ready to become ‘Nathuram Godse’ the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi, against the Prime Minister. The party reached a conclusion that Baidya’s statement attracted the criminal law, drawing the serious attention of the related party towards that end.
