Pokhara, Sept 8 : Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithivi Subba Gurung has urged the civil servants to work with dedication towards the people.
In a message today on the occasion of Civil Servants Day, he said the civil service should be active in serving the people with full dedication, good conduct and competitive ability.
Stating that the civil service sector has an important role in realizing the goal of ' Prosperous Nepal Happy Nepali' and successful implementation of federalism, the Chief Minister has urged the civil servants to work for successful enforcement of the state's policy, plan and legislation.
"A political leadership with a strong political will is necessary to achieve the goal of good governance and development as aspired by the Nepali people," he has said in the message while stating that an efficient transparent, result-oriented and accountable administration is inevitable for it.
The civil service day is being observed by organising a variety of programmes across the country today, under the major theme of 'Able civil administration for development, prosperity and good governance'. (RSS)
