Kathmandu, Nov. 21: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said making public the incidents of human rights violation occurred during the time of the people's war and ensuring reparation to the victims and finalizing those cases as per the transitional justice and maintaining reconciliation is yet to be finalized.

In a message given Sunday on the completion of 15 years of signing of the Comprehensive Peace Accord, the Maoist Centre Chairperson expressed his commitment to probe into the shortcoming occurred during that period and make them public while expressing his pride to the political achievement made so far.

"This is not an issue of only the government. It is of the state's issue. Therefore, the ruling and opposition parties till date are univocal in this issue and are committed and united to accomplishing the remaining tasks," Prachanda said while assuring all the stakeholders.

In his statement, he committed to completing the unfinished tasks of peace process by bringing the bill with Nepali characteristics which meets the international standards. The bill could be tabled in the upcoming session of the parliament with the consultation of the martyrs and disappeared persons' families, injured, displaced and other stakeholders, he added.

Democratization of Nepali Army and integration of the People's Liberation Army were completed and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons were in operation after their formation, according to the Maoist Centre Chairperson. He extended thanks to all making contribution to the peace process and expressed confidence that the issues of the Nepali society would gradually be addressed.

The then Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and CPN (Maoist) Chairperson Prachanda had signed the CPA 15 years ago, ending a decade-long insurgency in the country.
