Lalita Niwas land scam
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 5: Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case at the Special Court against 175 people including four former government ministers and two secretaries involved in transferring the public land of Lalita Niwas, Baluwatar, into private ownership.
Of those sued by the anti-graft body on Wednesday include former cabinet ministers Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, Chandra Dev Joshi, Dambar Bahadur Shrestha and Chhabi Raj Pant.
Similarly, former government secretary and CIAA commissioner Deep Bahadur Basnet and former government secretary Dinesh Hari Adhikari have also been sued. Shobhakanta Dhakal and Min Bahadur Gurung, who are known to be the mastermind behind the scam, have also been sued by the CIAA at the Special Court.
