Pokhara, Sept 19: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that his party would join the government this week.

Addressing a seminar and cadres' meet organised by the party's Kaski district committee in Pokhara today, Chairman Nepal said that the CPN (Unified Socialist) will select the leaders to join the federal cabinet.

On the occasion, Chairman Nepal stated that the current five-party coalition would be maintained till the upcoming election. "The erstwhile government did not properly address the people's woes. The current coalition government should not repeat past mistakes. We should serve the people by further strengthening the coalition," the former Prime Minister argued.

Chairman Nepal also said that the CPN (Unified Socialist) won't go for unification with the Maoist Centre and any other force but would advance on its own strength.

Likewise, Nepal said that it was necessary to safeguard the achievements of people's movement including republicanism, federalism and secularism.
