By Our Correspondent, Rajbiraj, Apr 5: With 25 individuals added on Saturday, the number of COVID-19 suspects kept in various quarantines in Saptari district has reached 264.
Until Saturday, there were 254 individuals at the quarantines in Saptari out of which 15 (one woman and 14 men) were released on Saturday.Out of the 264 individuals in the quarantine recently, there are 11 women and 253 men.
“The ones in quarantine are those who had returned to Nepal from different countries and those who were in regular contact with them; they also had some symptoms of the virus,” said Duniyalal Yadav, chief of the health department of Saptari.
According to Yadav, they are all in stable condition.
A total of 540-bed quarantines have been established in 18 different local bodies of Saptari along with 56-bed isolation wards in four different hospitals.
“We have kept 13 Intensive Care Units (ICU) standby in case of emergency,” said Dr Chuman Lal Das, medical superintendent of Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital.
