By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 14: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Wednesday 1,403 confirmed new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 13,947 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,403 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
Of the 1,403 new cases, 996 were detected in Kathmandu, 102 were found in Bhaktapur and 305 were recorded in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 2,638 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Wednesday, taking the national tally to 117,996 including 80,954 cases of recoveries and 675 death cases.
