By Bishwas Regmi, Kathmandu, Mar. 31: The government has officially postponed the Visit Nepal Year 2020 (VNY 2020) campaign due to the breakout of COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting of Council of Ministers held on March 22 had decided to postpone VNY 2020 campaign, informed Kedar Bahadur Adhikari, secretarary of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
According to Adhikari, the VNY 2020 secretariat, formed to promote the campaign would be dissolved from April 12.
The government had targeted to host 2 million tourists in 2020.
