Road constructed carving rocky Ajingar Veer, locals elated in Myagdi.

By Thakur Prasad Acharya, Myagdi, Jan. 19: Vehicles have started moving across the road constructed by carving the hard and tough rocky steep at Dagnam, Raghu Ganga Rural Municipality-4.

It took two years to carve the rocky steep and construct the 500-meter long road in the riskiest and difficult area of the district. Locals are elated that vehicles are plying across the Ajingir Veer (python steep) which was beyond their imagination.

Raghu Ganga Rural Municipality had kept the construction of the road across the Ajingar Veer as its pride project and the federal and provincial government had prioritized it and allocated the necessary budget.

The road that cost about 100 million rupees links remote rural villages of Darmija, Chimkhola and Kuinemanga with the district headquarters Beni of the district, and thereby national road network. About seven thousand people of those villages will be directly benefited by the road while it will also make transportation of materials easier for hydropower projects being constructed at Chimkhola and Kuinemanga, according to Bhav Bahadur Bhandari, Chairperson of the Raghu Ganga Rural Municipality.
