By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 23: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 166 new cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley today.
In 8,026 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 166 persons were found with the virus infection in the Valley itself, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
Of the 166 new cases, 126 were detected in Kathmandu, 12 were detected in Lalitpur and 28 were detected in Bhaktapur.
Meanwhile, some 818 new cases were recorded across the nation on Sunday, taking the national COVID-19 to 31,935 including 18,631 cases of recovery and 149 death cases.
