By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 4: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Sunday confirmed new 1,599 cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 12,484 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,599 persons, 604 females and 995 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.
Of the 1,599 new cases, 1,373 cases including 505 females and 868 males were detected in Kathmandu, 39 cases including 20 females and 19 males were found in Bhaktapur and 187 cases including 79 females and 108 males were recorded in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 2,253 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Sunday, taking the national tally to 86,823 including 64,069 cases of recovery and 535 death cases.
