By Chandra Pandak, Taplejung, Mar. 2: The fire that broke out this morning at Dovan Bazar in Taplejung has not come under control as yet.
Dovan Bazar is the second largest township in the district after Fungling Bazar, the district headquarters.
Bal Nara Singh Rana, Deputy Superintendent of Police and chief at the district police office in Taplejung, informed that fire brigades, excavators were also used to douse the fire along with the locals, Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal, and Nepal Police officials.
Some 45 houses are estimated to have been burnt down.
