A Chinese national dies of COVID-19 in Kathmandu

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 22: Nepal has recorded first COVID-19 death of a foreigner today. 

A 49-year old Chinese national, infected with SARS-CoV-2, breathed her last today morning while receiving treatment at TU Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharajgunj.

According to the TUTH administration, she was admitted to the hospital on Friday. 

She was residing in Pokhara before she tested positive for the virus.

After sensing some health issues, she was admitted to Grande International Hospital in Kathmandu. Upon testing positive for the virus, she was shifted to TUTH.

With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 41 in Nepal.
