By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 27: The Ministry of Health and Population on Saturday confirmed 81 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation's novel coronavirus tally to 274,065.
"In 2,824 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 81 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2," informed the Ministry of Health and Population in its regular update.
Currently, there are 967 active cases of COVID-19. Likewise, a total of 62 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.
Nepal has now recorded 270,325 cases of recovery and the recovery rate is at 98.6 percent.
Moreover, two fatalities related to COVID-19 were confirmed in Nepal in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll is 2,773.
