By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept. 7: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Monday confirmed 326 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 9,218 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 326 persons, 115 females and 211 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
Of the 326 new cases, 293 cases including 102 females and 191 males were detected in Kathmandu, 13 cases including six females and seven males were detected in Bhaktapur and 20 cases including seven females and 13 males were detected in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 979 cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the nation on Monday, taking the national tally to 47,236 including 30,677 cases of recovery and 300 death cases.
