One killed in road accident

Unidentified group cuts down 600 banana trees in Hetauda farm

For commercial banana farming, Bal had planted 750 banana trees in more than 13 katthas of land some five months ago. He had brought banana plants from Jeetpur, Parsa. Bal has provided required water, fertilisers and other ingredients to the banana plants expecting to harvest banana fruit by April next year. 62 people infected with dengue in Rupandehi

Dengue patients have been given priority, said Bipin Chhetri, section officer at Lumbini state hospital. No concrete initiatives have been taken so far in launching awareness campaigns and controlling dengue despite the disease taking its toll, complained the local people. Agriculture Minister hospitalised for dengue

Minister Khanal had his health checked up on Tuesday evening at Nidan hospital as he suffered from high fever and headache. The hospital had referred him to Sukra Raj Tropical and Infectious Disease hospital suspecting that the Minister may have been infected with dengue fever, and the hospital had on Wednesday evening confirmed that the minister had dengue fever.

11-day international art expo concludes   

The 11-day art exhibition organised by International Watercolour Society (IWS) Nepal with collaboration of Nepal Fine Art Academy at Naxal has concluded. A total of four countries—Nepal, India, Bangladesh and China had participated in the expo.
