Kathmandu, Sept 17: A team of police today arrested two people from various places in Kathmandu Valley in possession of narcotic drugs.
The arrested have been identified as Ashish Shrestha, 26, of Bhanuchowk Municipality-7 in Sunsari district and Yuwaraj Timalsina, 27, of Kakadvitta, Jhapa district.
A team deployed from Nagdhunga Metropolitan Police Sector arrested Shrestha while frisking the bus (Na 6 Kha 9479) coming to Kathmandu from Dharan, according to the Metropolitan Police Sector Deputy-Speaker Umesh Raj Joshi.
Joshi informed that Shrestha was arrested with Diajempam 9 ampoule, Nupijesik 9 ampoule and Phenergan 9 ampoule.
Similarly, Timalsina was arrested with brown sugar. Police have seized all the narcotic drugs and have launched a probe into the cases.
