Dhanusha, Oct 3: State 2 chief minister Lalbabu Raut has said public awareness was vital to end child marriage as only laws and policies were not enough to control it.

He asserted that daughters should be educated and given opportunity for competency building and exploring self-excellence along with the strong implementation of laws and acts. As he said, "Let's save daughter, let's educate daughter" campaign launched by the state government aims to educate and empower daughters and its results have started out.
In the recent one year, female foeticide has significantly gone down here and a report about this has been already published, according to the chief minister.
