Shah felicitated for her social service, boosting civilian-military bond

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 19: Social activist Madhavi Shah has been felicitated for her contribution to social services and further strengthening the relations between the civilian and the military.

Shah was honoured along with two others for their outstanding social service activism by the northwest division headquarters of the Nepali Army located at Nimare barrack in Surkhet.

Two others felicitated are Naresh Babu Shrestha, an officer at Bardiya health office who is working for COVID-19 prevention in Banke district presently, and Ram Kumar Sonar, administrative officer at Banke district administration office.

Shah, a school teacher by profession, has been involved in social service for a long and she gained her name for her campaign to arrange plasma for the treatment of COVID-19 patients and also by being involved in COVID-19 prevention and control campaigns.

The barrack honoured the government employees for social service amidst a ceremony held recently to mark the 141 anniversary of its establishment
