Parbat, Sept 11 : A support of Rs 1.174 million has been handed over to Meen Bahadur Pariyar, a cancer patient of Kushma municipality-4, for his treatment. This amount was collected by the Support Pariyar Campaign initiated by journalist Ram Krishna Lamichhane.
Nepali Congress central member Arjun Prasad Joshi handed over a check for this amount of money to beneficiary Pariyar at the latter's house on Tuesday.
Lamichhane said the campaign he has started will make some contribution for medical treatment of Pariyar who comes from a poor family.
Tarun Dal Parbat had assisted Rs 266,000 to Pariyar on Sunday. He was also handed over an amount of Rs 85,605 sent by Ram Bahadur Khawas from Saudi Arabia. According to the Pariyar family, more than Rs 5 million has been spent in his treatment. (RSS)
