Sarlahi, Jan 24 : Proprietor of Annapurna Sugar Mill Rakesh Agrawal has been out of contact for some days, said the District Administration Office, Sarlahi.
"Proprietor of the sugar mills has lost contact for some days. The blocked bank account of Agrawal has Rs 17 million meant to clear outstanding dues in payment to sugarcane farmers.
However, the payment has yet to take place as he has gone out of contact," said Chief District Officer Surendra Poudel.
The mill is yet to clear Rs 170 million due amount to the sugarcane farmers, said the mill.
So far, the mill has paid Rs 111 million dues to the sugarcane farmers, said Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh Rathaur.
