Kathmandu, Jan 12: The meeting of the National Assembly held on Sunday unanimously approved the proposal presented seeking consideration on 'Railway Bill-2076'. Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Basanta Kumar Nembang, presented the proposal.
Around Rs 8 billion rupees have already been allocated on the topic of railway operation in current fiscal year 2019/20.
Responding the queries raised in course of discussion in principle of the proposal, Minister Nembang said that the railway bill has been brought as per the need and demand of the time and situation.
Similarly, today's meeting also unanimously approved the 'Industrial Enterprises Development Foundation (First Amendment) Bill-2076 BS and sent it at Legislation Management Committee for clause-wise discussion.
Likewise, 'National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission's report -2076' has been tabled in the meeting.
At the special hour of the meeting, lawmakers drew government's attention to stop illegal extraction of stones, pebbles and sand, demanding stern action against the guilty of Dilip Mahato, who was crushed to death by a tipper for asking to stop illegal extraction of pebbles, stones and sand.
The next NA meet has been scheduled on January 19.
