Karnali, Nov. 12: Newly-appointed chief of the Karnali Province, Tilak Pariyar on Friday assumed the office today.
The new province chief was welcomed by Chief Minister of Karni province Jeewan Bahadur Shahi, Speaker Raj Bahadur Shahi, Chief Secretary Raj Kumar Sharma and security agency chief.
On the occasion, province chief Pariyar pledged to deliver service with commitment adhering to the roles and responsibilities bestowed by the Constitution.
“I will work for overall development of Karnali and its people impartially and honestly”, he said expressing confidence that he would get support from all sides to that end.
The history has given him an opportunity to work for the Karnali people, he said on the occasion.
It may be noted that President Bidya Devi Bhandari, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, had appointed Pariyar as the province chief of Karnali on November 8.
