Kathmandu, Sept 2: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended best wishes to all Nepali sisters living at home and abroad personally and on behalf of the party on the occasion of Haritalika Teej festival, today.
In a message today, President Deuba said that our country has many religions, cultures and festivals and asserted festivals like Teej were our national identity and pride.
Deuba viewed that such festivals had contributed maintaining social amity and unity in our society despite various differences prevailing among us.
He argued that Teej held special significance in fostering unity in families since the married women would visit their natal homes to celebrate the festivals with alacrity.
Deuba, also the former Prime Minister, wished that may this festival increase the feeling of joy and sense of belongingness in all families.
