Charikot, Apr. 16: A person who was remanded to district jail has committed suicide inside the prison today.
Himal Thami of Kalinchowk Rural Municiplaity-6, Lapilang, who was arrested on the charge of killing his wife, was found hanging from a window of district prison toilet.
Police Inspector Anjan Koirala said Thami was found committed suicide in the toilet. The prison administration had found him hanging from the window.
Thami had used his jacket to hang him from the window, police said. District Prison's acting chief Padma KC said Thami had already breathed his last while the door was forcibly broken to know his status.
