Let’s end the disorder, not the political system: NC General Secretary

Jhapa, Dec. 22: Newly elected general secretary of the Nepali Congress, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, has said that it was necessary to make the society feel about the change by wiping out disorder not the political system in the country. 

At a programme organised here Wednesday, Sharma, who arrived in his hometown for the first time after his election to the post of general secretary, urged not to search for an alternative to democracy and parliamentary system and not to spread rumor of reinstatement of the monarchy.

He shared that the NC would lead the economic development and social transformation of the country by getting a majority in upcoming elections.  “I have not come to my home district, where I was born, to get felicitation upon reaching a high post.  I came here to extend gratitude to you all and to get your best wishes.”

The NC general-secretary requested the NC leaders and cadres not to be biased and not to treat anyone with discriminatory behavior over the issue of win and defeat in the 14th  general convention of the party.  

Sharma said that he was committed to fulfilling the 24-point concept paper he presented before the cadres while contesting for the post of general secretary.

Sharma also reached Mechi Multiple Campus and garlanded the statue of a martyr, Ram Thapa, as well as the statue of BP Koirala in Chandragadhi.
