COVID-19: Expert Foundation establishes fund to help Nepali students in Australia

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 13: On the occasion of the Nepali New Year, Sydney-based Expert Foundation, a sister organisation of Expert Education and Visa Services, has established 'COVID-19 Expert Aid Fund' worth 200,000 Australian dollars (AUD).

The fund was established under Expert Foundation, a charity organisation run by the directors of the consultancy.

The Foundation has pledged to help Nepali students in Australia who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, said Jayaram Aryal, Managing Director of Maharajgunj branch of the consultancy.

Nepali students residing in Australia, who have been facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 outbreak, can register their names from April 15-30 at the official website of Expert Education and Visa Services.

The Foundation has stated that it would provide at least 300 AUD each to students in problem.

Further, 150,000 AUD of the fund would be provided to those students who had flown to Australia from all over the world, through the consultancy after August 1, informed Aryal.

He added that the remaining 50,000 AUD would be provided to Nepali students residing in Australia through social organizations.

The Foundation informed that first priority would be given to those students who have not been able to find a job in Australia or those who have lost their jobs due to COIVD-19.
