Kathmandu, Apr. 26: The Press Organisation Nepal, Valley Committee has called for immediate unconditional release of journalists Anis Tamang and Durga Lal Tamang. Condemning the arrest by police of Ujyalo Network online editor Anis and General Manager Durga Lal on Sunday, the Organization has demanded to immediately stop such acts.
Issuing a statement here today, the Organization has concluded that the act carried out against the court's order and decision of Press Council was a violation of constitutional provisions. It has also warned to stage a stringent movement to establish press freedom, if they were not immediately released.
