Amargadhi, Sept 4 : Twenty seven persons have been detected with scrub typhus here. Lab In-Charge at Dadeldhura Hospital, Ishwori Prasad Bhushal, informed that among 28 patients, 27 were founded suffering from the disease.
They were found in ten days while checking the patients suffering fever. A total of 128 fever patients underwent treatment at the Hospital recently. The health facility is visited by the people from Baitadi, Darchula, Bajhang and Doti districts as well.
Last year, scrub typhus had claimed the lives of two persons in the district. It had first emerged at Ajmeru rural municipality. In one and half month, 50 were found suffering the scrub typhus in various hilly districts of the Far West State last year.
Fever, muscle strain, severe headache, sweating and coughing are the symptoms of the scrub typhus, said Medical Superintendent at the Hospital, Jitendra Kandel. (RSS)
