Kathmandu, Aug. 13: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Wednesday said no Nepali required to go abroad looking for jobs, as the government had been preparing to provide employment to all within the country itself. Addressing the event organised on the occasion of International Youth Day by the National Youth Council, PM Oli said in a few years no one would be compelled to go abroad seeking job opportunities for their livelihood.

The government has been framing policies and programmes so that youths are encouraged to stay back in the nation and engage in economic activities on their own, he added.

“It is unfortunate that the country which is rich in natural resources and other terms, is economically backward. So I would like to ask Nepali youths for their creative involvement in the government’s aspiration to end poverty and promote reliance and development,” he said.
PM Oli further wished that instead of being pessimist youths would optimistically take part to fulfill the country’s commitment towards nation-building.
Prime Minister Oli further reaffirmed that the government had been formulating policies and programmes to enhance skills and capability of youths.
He further added that the government had been actively working for the uplift of youths and had allocated budget of around Rs. 76 billion for this.

“Development with good governance is a must to take the country ahead. Nepali youths must take part in leading the country on the path of prosperity and development,” he added.
Stating that there was much left to be done in achieving the national goals, PM Oli said the role of youths in achieving sustainable development was very important.
He also expressed his optimism that the youths would work collectively to achieve sustainable development.
“Nepali youths have made a remarkable progress in various fields, including politics. They have also been able to establish their identity in the international arena,” he said.
