Kathmandu, Sept 9: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said regressive forces have been rearing ugly their heads by portraying negatively the leaders who have made immense contribution for epochal changes in the country.
Speaking at a memorial programme , Prachanda stated that anti revolution forces became active to bring a change to the republican system and democracy. Prachanda was addressing a memorial meeting held for Martyr Suresh Wagle ‘Basu.’
Science has proven that no ghost would arise from its place of cremation, but mere raising of issue of ghost makes people suffer sometime, Dahal said.
He further said, “A lion will remain a lion even if a fox barks loudly against it. So, a lion cannot be compared with a fox”.
Many well-wishers of the party have a strong desire that the issue of party unification should be resolved at earliest and all works of the government should be carried out effectively. The party well-wishers want the NCP should put up better performance by correcting its mistakes, he said.
At the function, chairman Prachanda said martyr Wagle was an honest, politically capable and impressive leader of the then Maoist party. If the party did not have a strong leader like him, the revolution could not have succeeded, he added.
Likewise, senior NCP leader Jhalanath Khanal said his party was undertaking a mission to instill sense of morality among the leaders in new Nepal in next ten years. If the dream of martyrs could be realised only then the nation would achieve prosperity.
