Nepalgunj, Nov. 27: Former Prime Minister and Federal Council chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has stressed unity among all Nepali people to safeguard the political changes, republic and federalism achieved through people’s sacrifices.

Stating that enemies of republic and federalism have, of late, started making movements, he said that such anti-republic and federalism forces should be defeated by the progressive forces.
Speaking at different programmes organised in Nepalgunj and Janaki Rural Municipality, Banke, Dr. Bhattarai said all Nepalis from the Terai, hills and mountains should be united to institutionalise and strengthen federalism and republic system.

Dr. Bhattarai is now touring Banke and Bardiya districts in Lumbini province.
Dr. Bhattarai said an alliance of five parties defeated the party which posed threat to the constitution. “There is still a challenge to safeguard the achievements gained through sacrifices of the people,” he said.

He also said that there was no option but to make a massive leap in development activities while safeguarding the Constitution.
Stating that many decisions and actions taken by the previous government were against the people and the country, he said that the present government would move ahead by correcting them.
Similarly, senior leader of the Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal Ashok Rai said that the parties which claim themselves as large parties, could not do good for people, and the people were looking for an alternative forcs to bring about the desired changes in the nation.

He clarified that JSP-N was formed for the people of all parts of the country, and attraction towards the party was increasing.\
During the meetings, local leaders and cadres apprised Dr. Bhattarai and Rai of local issues and there problems.
