By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May. 3: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Sita Poudel as the Province Chief of Gandaki Province and Ganga Prasad Yadav as the Chief of Sudurpaschim Province.
Issuing a press statement on Monday, the office of the President informed that President Bhandari had appointed new province chiefs for Gandaki and Sudurpaschim Province.
The meeting of the council of ministers held today had recommended removing the existing province chiefs in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim and appointing Poudel and Yadav in the vacant position.
Amik Serchan was the chief of Gandaki Province and Sarmila Tripathi was the chief of Sudurpaschim Province. Both of them are close to NCP (Maoist Centre).
