Kathmandu, Oct 8: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said all should move ahead towards building a civilized and cultured society together with attaining prosperity for the nation.

Issuing a message of best wishes on the occasion of Bada Dashain today, he said the Nepalis have moved ahead in the journey of prosperity after concluding the movement for attaining the political rights.

 

            "Today we are on the journey of prosperity by concluding the movement for securing the political rights. In this journey, we should develop the society as a civilized, peaceful, humane, friendship, cultured and educated society along with prosperity. It is equally necessary that we should all pay our attention to this aspect as well," he said.

 

            Prime Minister  Oli said that the festival has been fostering good social relations and harmony since the past and such contribution should be continued. urged all Nepalis living in and outside the country to celebrate festivals in a healthy way as per  their capacity. 

 

            He said, "I want to wish all Nepalis living in and outside the country a healthy and happy life on the occasion of Bada Dashain."

 

            Dashain is the festival of unity which we have been celebrating since earlier. This is the festival of reunion. Dashain is the festival where elder persons give blessings to younger ones. Let's celebrate this festival in a grand manner. It is necessary to breaking the wrong trend taking place in the name of  traditions at a time when celebrating it in a grand manner, reads the message.

 

            "We should pay attention to health, friendship, social peace and to not cause harmful effect to neighbours while celebrating this festival. The festival should promote love, care and goodwill in family, neighbourhood and among relatives. It is necessary to pay attention so that this festival contributes to fostering social good relations and harmony like it has been doing since the past," PM Oli stated in his message of best wishes.

 

            The Prime Minister stressed that the festivals should not be extravagant and we should be free from this tendency.

 

            PM wished that may this festival inspire us all to fulfilling the national aspiration – the campaign of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'.
