By Gokul Parajuli, Biratnagar, Feb. 21: The proposal of no confidence registered against the Chief Minister of Province 1 Sherdhan Rai was presented in the Provincial Assembly today.
The proposal, which was registered on December 27, was presented by the Provincial Assembly member Indra Bahadur Aangbo.
After the proposal was presented, the Provincial Assembly meeting has been postponed till March 4.
The provincial ministers and members of the assembly representing the government were not present in the meeting today. Only the members of the opposition parties were present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari, chief whip of the Nepal Communist Party has submitted a written application to the Provincial Assembly secretariat stating that the meeting of the assembly couldn’t take place in the current political scenario of the nation.
Rajbhandari had demanded to postpone the meeting for seven days. However, the speaker of the provincial assembly did not approve it.
