By Deepak Gyawali, Butwal, May 21: Nepal has reported third fatality from COVID-19 today.
A 41-year old COVID-19 patient of Gulmi breathed his last at Crimson Hospital, Rupandehi today morning, said Dr Umashankar Chaudhary, Chief of Health Division of State 5 Ministry of Social Development.
His health condition was critical since past few days and he had been receiving treatment in ventilation
"He died of COVID-19 today morning. We will declare his death today at 5 PM," said Dr Chaudhary.
Likewise, the State 5 Ministry of Social Development confirmed the third COVID-19 fatality by issuing a press statement today.
"Cremation of the deceased will be conducted in line with the guidelines issued by the government, in coordination with local government, concerned authorities and security workers," added Dr Chaudhary.
The deceased was admitted to the hospital on May 14. He had tested COVID-19 positive on May 18.
With this, the COVID-19 death toll in Nepal has reached three. However, the Ministry of Health and Population is yet to provide official information about it.
