NCP’s Standing Committee Meeting ends, Central Committee meeting to be held on January 8

Nepal Communist Party’s (NCP) standing committee meeting, which had started on 13th December, 2019 has ended today.

The standing committee meeting has decided that the upcoming meeting of central committee would be held on 8th January, 2020, at Kathmandu.

During the meeting, all-out discussions was held regarding political report presented by Co-chairs Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Prime Minister KP Shrma Oli. The final political report has been passed unanimously by making amendments as to the discussions held and suggestions rendered during the meeting.

Likewise, the party has decided to incorporate the amendments in Party’s constitution, drafted by Bishnu Prasad Poudel, General Secretary of NCP.

The meeting has also agreed to complete all the party unification work dues, such as formation of authorities and departments, prior to the meeting of central committee.

The party has declared the political map issued by India, including Nepal’s territory to be void. The party has further decided to take required action to remove Indian security forces who have been deployed in Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura.

The press release, issued by NCP stated that the party had stressed in solving the border issue through diplomatic channel.
The party has also decided to construct a building for NCP’s central office.
“The meeting of standing committee has helped NCP in ensuring unity of the party, developing the party and ensuring efficiency of the government,” said party chair Dahal while delivering his closing speech.
Co-chair of the party, PM Oli, who was unable to attend the meeting due to his poor health condition expressed his gratitude to every members of the party, whose active involvement helped in holding the standing committee’s meeting and passing the political report.

The 7-day meeting was held on chairmanship of chairman Dahal.
