By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 28: The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), which was scheduled for today, has been postponed indefinitely.
Stating that the proposals of the meeting weren’t ready, Surya Thapa, press advisor of the Prime Minister, informed that the meeting was postponed. "A proposal is yet to be made on the basis of the decision of the meeting of NCP Secretariat held before," he said.
It has been said that the meeting was postponed as the NCP Chairmen, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', are yet to reach a consensus to solve their intra-party differences.
Although the Chairmen duo has been sitting for discussions time and again, they have not been able to reach to a concrete agreement. Both, Oli and Prachanda have been holding meeting with their party leaders as well.
The intra-party difference reached to its peak after the NCP leaders demanded for the PM's resignation in the Standing Committee meeting held before.
The meeting was scheduled for 11:00 AM today.
