Kathmandu, Mar. 6: Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party meeting on Friday failed to form its view on the possibility of new government formation, as a result of which it did not take concrete decisions.
But lawmakers said the party should bring no-confidence motion against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Today, 29 lawmakers aired their views.
NC chief whip Bal Krishna Khand informed that the party would decide on the no-confidence motion after listening to all lawmakers’ views and ideas.
He said the party reached that conclusion by summarising statements and activities of both the factions of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
However, the party remained mum on the proposal put forth by NCP’s Prachanda-Nepal faction.
Khand said the party would take a necessary and appropriate decision at an appropriate time to run the parliament smoothly, to resolve political and national problems, to strengthen parliamentary system and to regain people's faith in the parliamentary system.
