Kathmandu, Oct. 7: A three-member delegation of the Nepali Congress led by its joint general secretary Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is leaving for India on Thursday.
Dr. Mahat will be accompanied by NC leaders Uday Shumsher Rana and Ajay Chaurasiya.The delegation is visiting India at the invitation of Vijay Chauthaiwale, the chief of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Indian ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, who visited Kathmandu a few weeks ago.
During the five-day visit, the team of Dr. Mahat is scheduled to call on Foreign Affairs Minister of India S. Jaishankar, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Aditya Nath and other BJP leaders.
Dr. Mahat said that the discussions that would be held during their visit would help both the countries understand all issues easily.
“The meeting between the representatives of the ruling parties of the two countries will also reflect the government views,” he said.
