MoHP reports 125 new cases of COVID-19

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 19: The Ministry of Health and Population on Friday confirmed 125 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation's novel coronavirus tally to 275,750.

"In 3161 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 125 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2," informed the Ministry of Health and Population in the regular press briefing.

Currently, there are 1,001 active cases of COVID-19, and a total of 51 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.

Meanwhile, 123 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 271,733 cases of recovery and the recovery rate is at 98.5 per cent.

Moreover, one COVID-19 related fatality was recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 3,016.
